Chris Harper is a name well known in the world of professional cycling. What many do not know is that Chris is the son of our founders, which makes his achievements deeply personal for our entire Swiss Wellness family.

Growing up around a family that valued wellness, dedication and the pursuit of excellence, Chris channelled those same principles into his cycling career. His journey from Adelaide to the world stage is a testament to the kind of determination and discipline that runs in the Harper family.

When Chris claimed his landmark stage win at the Giro d'Italia, it was more than a sporting achievement. It was a moment of immense pride for the whole Swiss Wellness family. We watched, we cheered, and we celebrated as one of our own showed the world what commitment and resilience look like at the highest level.

About Chris and Swiss Wellness

Who is Chris Harper?
Chris Harper is a professional road cyclist, a Giro d'Italia stage winner and the son of the founders of Swiss Wellness Day Spa. He grew up in Adelaide and has raced at the top level of the sport with Bora-Hansgrohe, Jayco-AlUla and other WorldTour teams.
What is the connection between Chris and Swiss Wellness?
Chris is family. His parents founded Swiss Wellness in 2005 and he grew up around a household that valued wellness, dedication and natural recovery. Those values shaped both his approach to his cycling career and the way we run the spa.
Do the values in the spa really come from the same place?
Yes. Swiss Wellness was built around the idea that true wellness comes from caring for the body, mind and soul. Every treatment we offer reflects those same principles of dedication, natural care and bringing your best. That is why we have been in the same location in Hyde Park for over twenty years.
Can I book a massage that helps with recovery?
Absolutely. Our Deep Tissue / Sports, Lymphatic Drainage and Hot Stone Massage treatments are all regularly booked by athletes, runners and anyone recovering from injury or training. Mention what you are recovering from at booking and we will match you with the right therapist.
What is your most popular treatment?
Our most popular treatments are the Relaxation Massage (from $85), the Stress Relief Facial ($110) and the Heavenly Escape package ($285, 1.5 hours). The Heavenly Escape combines an hour massage with an express facial.
Do you use organic products?
Yes. Every treatment uses organic essential oils and Adelaide Hills Organics skincare. We have been committed to natural and organic products since opening in 2005. No synthetic fragrances, no harsh chemicals.
Where are you located and what are your hours?
125 King William Road, Hyde Park, Adelaide. We are open Tuesday to Saturday: Tuesday 11am to 6pm, Wednesday and Friday 10am to 6pm, Thursday 10am to 6:30pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm. Closed Sunday and Monday.
